Waw ( "hook") is the sixth letter of the Semitic abjads, including Phoenician ''wāw'' 10px, Aramaic ''waw'' 10 px, Hebrew ''vav'' (also ''vau'') , Syriac ''waw'' (unicode:ܘ) and Arabic ''wāw'' (sixth in abjadi order; 27th in modern Arabic order). It represents the consonant (in Modern Hebrew also ) and the vowel .
